So this dude one day - hes using his computer and desctop printer and the message window pops up its from the printer and it reads “You have low ink in your cartridges and your Yellow cartridge is empty” He thinks to himself “Hang on how the fuck could that b?…Ive never printed out any colour documents at all, always black and white, there was one time I printed out something in colour but that was just the one instance…Why the messaage?” And what has happened is that no one told him but you gotta select “grey scale” in the options, in order to print black and white docs from your black ink cartridge, otherwise if you have colour selected colour docs will print in colour, but black and whit docs will print – get this: from the array of 3 colour cartridges to combine to form black ink. And He figures this out that with the huge inflated cost of genuine replacement ink cartridges hes been led down the garden path the machine is tricky by design, they could have designed it so that the printer detects its a black and wite doc and prints from the supply of black ink and detects that its a colour doc and prints from the colour ink, but no its deceptive by design in order to get you to conform to consumption patterns until you figure it out, and old Shmo here just had an epithany….Hes been getting duped all this time. The printer cost him 60$ and the sweet of 3 replacement cartridges costs 68$. What a fuckin rip off. The light goes on in Shmo’s noggin. He realises that all in all, today’s printers are faulty be design.
