Sub Prime Crisis

So the sky has fallen in! I advise you to buy stocks now! This is the golden opportunity you have been waiting for! Can I just say America's leadership in the world is not over. Can I just state it for the record that the age of American dominance is not over. Listen, this idea that all is lost occurred back in the late 1980s when Japan started getting rich off Toyota and Nintendo. Japanese men and women were buying real estate in the States and many yanks were yelling that the sky was about to fall in. In the period between now and then for those who died of cancer the sky really did fall in and the world really was destroyed from their perspective, yet for those of us that survived, we can see that the USA is still in a leadership role.

If you doubt the ongoing brilliance of the states as a research leader, just look at Boston Dynamics, an amazing robotics company in the States that recently put footage on you tube of its latest development coined "big dog" Big dog is this unreal robot greyhound that is powered by a two stroke engine and autonomously controlled by its many electronic gizmos. Big dog is demonstrated on ice being kicked in the side by a technician and then struggling to stay upright and avoid falling over, its bambi - like legs flailing and desperately seeking to keep its body upright. The will to live present in a machine. Kind of. Its amazing anyhow please checkout big dog on you tube. I was impressed by big dog from the moment I saw it, I realised that this was the first genuine robot I'd ever seen and that the world has ever seen. And its from the states not China India Brazil or Russia. So chill all you skeptics, the USA is still on top despite Bushie's blunders and when Obama gets in - if he's not assassinated Kennedy style, he will restore the world's approval of US leadership. This does not diminish though, the long term inevitability of a truly globalised administration where overall moral and executive power resides with democratic institutions such as the United Nations. Those of you who were smart and able, would have sold your houses one year ago and put the cash in the bank. Now that the crash has dived to new and decent lows today, you smart people will be taking that banked cash and investing it in lovely blue chips such as KFC, Ford, Merryl Lynch and Franklin Templeton. But don't invest in Nike though, Michael Jordan left the building and Nike will go the way of Reebok!
