What the hell is goin on in Russia?

The current atmosphere in Russia seems to be reminiscent of 1930's Germany. Nationalism Xenophobia, poverty, corruption, organised crime, instability, national humiliation, ageing infrastructure and dictatorial leadership. It seems like the next step is resurrection of the cossacks and establishment of the gulag Mk3. (following on from the gulags of Tzar and of Stalin). Add a massive aids build up and everything else related to Georgia and the caucasus and you get the traditional Russian status quo. A place of so much potential that seems on the brink of catastrophe. Need I point out the obvious, Russia is once again despite all opportunity for positivity, the sick man of Europe and although the world catches a cold when wall street sneezes; I put it to you that the world faces war when Moscow gets Nationalistic.
