I have a great idea which I'm currently making a reality. And the great thing about a good innovative idea is that once its been brought into the world it cant be undone!

Now everyone is getting smart phones. They cost $1000. They are portable personal internet ready computers. you don't want to drop or submerge or bash or squash an iPhone. Hitherto, mostly you'd put your phone in your shirt pocket but when drunk and leaning over it tips into the pool/toilet/onto the ground and gets destroyed/damaged. You could wear a shirt that has a button pocket; but when it rings you need to use two hands to struggle with the button opening process and then you dig for the phone. Or it goes in your jeans pocket where it with its touch screen may get scratched by car keys or you could knock your hip into an object while walking around in your activities and this is no harm to you but it may disable your smartphone!

So many often thought but never discussed bad things can happen to your mobile phone, which was an acceptable risk back when phones cost $70 and were replaceable, but now that they cost as much as computers and because they store irreplaceable data addresses emails etc, this development necessitates the innovation of a new popular garment i call at this tentative stage the iPhone shirt. This new garment is now possible due to the fact that iphone blackberry etc are pretty slim and will slide into a pocket and wont excessively bulge out your shirt.

You get a slim pocket on your t-shirt that snugly accommodates an iPhone. It has a velcro flap over 1/4 of the pocket length which when ripped open does not allow the iPhone to fall out, but it does allow for great easy access to the iPhone: you can grab it easy with two fingers. You can do most daily activities including sitting squatting running bending over putting on a seatbelt and driving while the phone never gets in harms way or stressed or squashed or dropped or bashed or anything.

Fashion Factors: Will it float?

Fashion innovations float or sink by their acceptability to the sensibility of the trendsetter of the time or by the extent of the garments popular appeal at the time. Aside from these fundamentals of commercial success, this garment is really cool and although the prototype looks rough as guts, you get the concept idea from that, and the finished item will be really stylish and cool. And importantly i'm not one of these wannabe fashion gurus or something. I'm making this project for my own use so that when i'm going around I can take my iPhone there in the knowledge I wont break it! Ill walk around my city and people will see the garment in action and make their decision about it from that. This iPhone shirt is an idea in time: all the elements are creating the culmination, the perfect storm, where by the garment could prove of real use to the community.
