Hollywood

Hollywood is just an idea.

If you ever knew a really attractive good looking person, even if they lived far away from the USA let alone Hollywood, and even if that person worked as say a waiter or a check-out-chick, that person is actually Hollywood. Hollywood is an ideal. The glamour of perfection. The excitement of beauty. You do not become a superstar so that you may have a hot girlfriend. Rather, the superstar before he was famous was already swamped in hot babes. This is on the basis of his natural attributes. Then he was discovered and so it goes. The infinite potential of model looks is undeniable.

Therefore if you want to be Hollywood, you are better off changing your appearance tastefully to increase your attractiveness, instead of visiting the physical Hollywood. Hollywood is tannable white skin, blue eyes, straight blonde hair, mesmorphic physique, height strength and symbolic fertility. Hollywood is youth, a mad far away land that stokes the fires of age old ambition. In a general and all pervasive sense, Hollywood is a white middle class male interpretation of the world. Lately things moved away from that stance slightly. However I've not heard one reviewer or critic mention the breaking new ground in movies such as Hancock. For example in Hancock, we see put forth by Hollywood's Establishment, the notion of a black man and a white woman of good standing, engaging in a romance. This has hitherto been taboo and it took Will Smith to break through on the strength of his immense popular appeal. Note also that in the rap video about driving dirty, when the black singer gets pulled over by the cops; its a black cop giving him trouble, not the usual depiction of an oppressive white cop.

Therefore I concluded that the issue of racism in America has improved somewhat on the basis of Hollywood's depiction of minority experiences used as a barometer of how far the issue has come. Note too that Obama and Clinton occurred this year. Hollywood the place though, is not the topic of this discussion. In this article, Hollywood is the positive concept not the political and physical Establishment. Which would you rather? A degree, or really good looks? I know which I'd take. If I could. Hollywood first and foremost is about physical attractiveness. We find stars so captivating because they are beautiful. Quite often stars are able to perform as athletes and visa versa. Therefore there is a strong correlation between athletic prowess and Hollywood. The first swashbuckler, Errol Flynn was a boxer in high school and he won the Junior ATP tournament in Sydney back in the 1920's. Flynn could just as easily have gone to the olympics, but he ended up on the silver screen. I do not see Steven Hawking - The Quantum Physicist, as a Hollywood star. Hollywood is physical attractiveness. Therefore anyone who is physically attractive is in my opinion Hollywood. Second comes intellect. Both physical attractiveness and intelligence are the two factors that determine happiness, yet attractiveness is always more important than intelligence.
