The far removed notions of greenies

Not to say that the green movement is trivial, but some greenies are far removed from reality. One sentiment often expressed by greenies and passionate environmentalists is that we humans ought to take a leaf out of the book of animal kingdom law. Greenies often site the dolphin or the whale as a model of harmonious green peacefulness. The idea being that they would have us humans behave more like dolphins and in doing so avoid polluting the earth while living a pure and fun loving life. Dolphin safe tuna biodegradable dishwashing liquid, with a dolphin logo on the bottle, these symbols are false. Take for example the lion world. Few lion kings live to old age. The price of power is mortal danger and a brutal end. Male lions kill each other. They die bloody murderous competetive deaths. And that is the way it is in the animal kingdom between members of the same species let alone their prey. The salient point being that animals kill for more than sustinence, they also have the ambition to seek territory and females. They also commit attrocities, they also do the wrong thing. Just as we do. So lets not let the greenies point to the animal kingdom as a model for world peace. Because thats a lie.
